more Jungle?

Jungle has been around for quite sometime already. While more and more versions are made, the version that ppl plays the most is still 2.2. Cuz of this, I've decided to make an update to this version and branded it separately from the Random Cat n Mouse Jungle brand.

I'll call it "Classic Cat n Mouse Jungle". Everyone now expects it does randomly choosing Cat so I guess it's okay to drop the word "Random" in it.

This map will have roughly the same spells in 2.2 except a few updates + changes, but rather have a new underlying enginee that runs it. This map will run in full-hyper trigger (rather than conditional-hyper trigger I put in 2.2).

Planned changes/new features are:
- BS'ing buildings and other units now counts as BS'ing. If BS'ing too much, the game will brand a player as BS'er even the player didn't kill a Mouse.
- BS'ing now no longer gives Cat a DT
- BS punishment is different as follows:
- kill 1 probe within first minute => forcefully put into Observer Mode
- kill 1 probe after first minute => lose its own Chooser (DT) and able to get banned by 1 DT rather than 2.
- kill 2 probes => forcefully put into Observer Mode
- More accurate Anti-FEED on judging whether Cat is sitting or moving
- Yellow can also be Mouse (so having a full house with a randomized Cat) or Cat (Yellow get to choose at game start).
- Sunken's damage increases significantly
- More Sunken spawn places in case of spawn places being blocked
- More in-game prompts such as when a player dies, when SCV dies.
- Replace "Lock Mice" spell with a more lethal spell called "Haunt Mice" (similar to 5.1).
- Replace "Death God" unit with "Rigged Ball" (a Dark Archon with free Mind Control) (similar to 5.1).
- Reduce cost for "Monkey Vessel" (similar to 5.1).
- Reduce cost for "Infested Terrans"
- A more accurate Restore Minerals spell for Mice (similar to 5.1).
- New spell for Mice - Second Probe (similar to 5.1).
- Ability for Mice to transfer money to any desired player (similar to 5.1).
- Brown's Mouse Holes now move back to position if moved (similar to 5.1).

I like a lot of what I hear, but a few things give me cause for concern. For instance, buildings counting as BS'ing. I could be a complete moron and fill someone else's base up with gateways, and when they kill them, they lose their DT. Also, reducing the cost of Infested...I'd have to play it to be sure, but it seems to me that you could have an infinite cycle where 2 DT turns into 2 Infested, which kill 2 mice, etc. Of course the kill rate of the 2 Infested is nothing like 100%, as you can force them to waste by pylon blocking, etc, but still...

hee~ the buildings counting as BS'ing is really broad, so the trigger is a bit generous in this matter. It only count walls and offensive buildings (ie: Cannons), and it wont count as BS if you simply kill 1. Also, killing your own buildings don't count at all as well.

As for infested, it's actually a good point. It is definitely going to be a cycle, even though the required DTs is 1 (while owning at least 2 DTs). I may revert it to be 2+1 (need 2 DTs for two infests but need 3 to activate the spell), donno, but good point here.

In my opinion the point of Infested is not to indiscriminately kill random mice, but to kill people who would otherwise be safe behind strong walls, either by going through the civ and killing the mouse or by bashing down walls in one fell swoop, which is why they cost 3 for 2, so you only use them for the strongest players.

Yah, it's with shame that the infests "usually" are proved to be useless against good players at mid-late games as ppl cannon-up and easily kill infests.

But oh well, I guess I'll revert it back to 3DTs mandatory. Thx for the input, Andy.

Maybe to eliminate the cannons killing infesteds you could upgrade their armor? Or maybe just decrease the damage of various mice units including cannons. *shrug*

Oh, also, the 1-dt-banning idea. Not sure if you intended this, but you could kill someone who was doing something bad, and then they could ban you in return.
